For nearly 30 years, Fred served as the Executive Director of the Hearing Health Care Alliance of New York (HHCANY), devoting his time and passion to serving and advancing hearing health professionals, including audiologists and hearing aid dispensers, as well as individuals with hearing loss.
Fred worked tirelessly to elevate standards, promote ethical behavior, and strengthen consumer protections within the hearing aid and audiology professions by helping to guide legislation, regulations, and public policies. He personally conducted in-service training for senior centers, hospitals, and healthcare organizations, helping to raise the expertise and confidence of caregivers and professionals working directly with the hearing-impaired.
The HHCANY Annual Conference and Trade Show held a special place in Fred’s heart. He viewed the event as a powerful driver of professional community and progress, where hearing health professionals could gather and share knowledge. Fred was especially proud of his signature Cracker Barrel section of the program, which allowed every exhibitor to connect and engage with every attendee, adding a unique element that set HHCANY apart in the field and provided valuable NYS CEU credits.
Above all, Fred was devoted to his family. He treasured his time spent on the Lake with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His warmth and affection for his family were evident to all who knew him.
